What If...

What if… you knew the world was ending before others. What would you do?
I’m standing in the middle of Atlanta trying to wrap my mind around what is happening. A burning building down the street from me is filling the air with a thick black smoke making it harder and harder to breathe. A siren blaring from every direction, making the chaos even more real but no one wants to get it through their head that this is actually happening. We all knew it would eventually happen but we put it off saying it would never happen during our lifetime.
“Someone, anyone please help me!” screamed an elderly woman who was trapped beneath the rubble of a fallen building. I looked to my left and saw her lying on the ground with her leg stuck beneath a steel bar. I didn’t know what to do so I just ran. My whole life flashed through my eyes. In a matter of seconds I watched 37 years of the only thing I’ve ever known.
I continued running until I came to a grocery store. I debated whether or not to go inside and find anything I could salvage for my family. I ran in trying to come up with a game plan to take the less time and stay away from the big crowds. The moment I walked in I was pushed aside by a mother pushing a shopping cart. It seemed like the store had turned into a war zone where everyone was fighting for themselves. Isles were completely destroyed as the anarchic people fought for food to supply for their families.

What if that night never happened? What if they never went for that walk to see how thick the ice was? What if she wouldn’t have pretended to be an ice skater and slide across the creek? What if the couple didn’t come back late that night with friends and illegal substances? What if?
It was colder than the poles in the dead of winter. The touch of wind to her cheeks made her eyes water. The boy and girl were bored and had the brilliant idea to go down to the creek. It’s after four so no one would pay much attention and there would have been nothing to worry about.
The creek is almost completely frozen solid in a few select places near the shallow parts, but it is thick enough. It is finally the time for the first majorly stupid act of the winter. Trespassing, arson, driving under the influence, and possession: seven people could easily become felons out of just one night.
It is dark and cold and all of them come to the agreement that they need some devil’s lettuce and a bigger fire. Three of the group stays at the fire, two go to get a loveseat and some gas, two to get some weed. Within twenty minutes the seven reunite and start the lighting of bowls and furniture. Some hours later they look at the clock and start heading out after putting the couch out as best as they possibly could. They take off speeding trying to get away realizing that right as they all do pull away, three cops pull up and take their parking spots.
They all split up and two of the three cars get away. They meet up at Nickel’s and wait for her arrival each of them taking turns calling her. After about thirty minutes they get a call back. The bad news was upon them. The cops had stopped her and asked her a bunch of questions and she is a terrible liar. Two names were given and seven people went into hiding and devised the plan to get home.
What if this night didn’t happen? So many memories would not have been made. Friendships would not have been strengthened. Trust wouldn’t have been tested. But the pros outweigh the cons in more ways than one, so although the night was very illegal, the seven teenagers will remember that night forever.

What If God Sneezed?
Bryce Silverfox is a man of insanity, but more polite than any other lad. He struts down the highway with his head held high, his broad shoulders pulled back, and leaning just a bit too far back to where it is uncomfortable for any bystander to watch. Every time he passes another male, he quickly nods his head in an approving fashion; when he passes a female, they get a quick glance at his awkward smile that dominates only the right side of his mouth as he snaps his fingers and points at them. It is obvious that they do not feel any comfort in his presence. However, he was always a gentleman no matter the cost.
One day his welcoming gestures took a step too far. After giving his quick nod to a man of great weight and the strength that came with it, he helped the man’s lady-friend step over a puddle in the street- the man did not take this fondly. It was only a few minutes later that Bryce Silverfox found himself being pulverized by that big pile of beef that is called a human. He died.
Although his bad history of destroying his friends apartments, Bryce Silverfox found himself in the great wondrous clouds above. He instantly went to go talk to the “big guy”. Surprisingly, he was not big at all. To add a Spongebob reference, he would have been the guy that was Pearl’s prom date in The Chaperone episode.
In the middle of chatting about their favorite Italian restaurants, god let out this sneeze that blew away all of the surrounding guards and angels. Bryce Silverfox, being the gentleman he is, stood still during the break down. Once god was cleared of his sinus congestion, Bryce Silverfox looked up and said, “Sneezus Christ”. This made god laugh uncontrollably for hours, even days after the joke. For such good humor and not being afraid, Bryce Silverfox was sent back to Earth to live a long, prosperous life.

What if death just went away? If people never actually passed away. There would be a lot less tears and people could enjoy endless years, but would it be as good as it seems? Something just like an impossible dream. People would still age just the same, their bodies slowing and their thoughts starting to lame. Diseases still here to do use harm could leave the world in a state of alarm. For without death the suffering would be great, never any closer to Death’s gate. Although we love those we hold dear, it’s quite greedy for use to want them to always be here. When they are in pain, and tired of the fight; no longer wanting to hold on with all their might. The grief we feel is nothing compared to what they felt, nothing more than a slight fraction of what they had been dealt. It is now our burden to a bear that’s our own fault though for how much we care. About those we’ve lost, and those who are ill. Although life without death would be nice, every good thing always has some sort of price.

What if SpongeBob isn’t actually happy?
SpongeBob is just putting on a fake smile every day, and during is underpaid job on the inside he’s dying. He goes home every night and contemplates suicide. He looks at the gun on his desk and thinks about it. He reaches for the gun and hears Gary meow; he then decided that he couldn’t do it. He couldn’t leave Gary there alone, and he would have to continue living a total lie. Acting happy at work and around all of his friends. He needs a new job, but due to dropping out of high school he can’t get a job that’s better than the Krusty Krab. All he wants is Sandy, but she just sees him as a friend while he wants to be more than that. She never pays attention to him, and that kills him. The only person that loves him is Patrick, but secretly he hates Patrick, and wants to get away from him. He can’t take it anymore he needs to say goodbye. He starts to write a will saying that he wants to give everything to Patrick since he deserves it. He’s going to give him Gary because he knows that he will take great care of him. He grabs the gun off the table, and then the door slams open. Patrick is standing at the door with his jaw dropped. He calls 911 they come, and the cops come get him, and he is sent off to a mental asylum, and he is never seen again.
