World Literature II focuses largely on nonfiction contemporary novels that address serious issues around the world. Works studied range from graphic novels, memoirs, and biographies by journalists and have examined Sierra Leone child soldiers, North Korean defectors, the Islamic Revolution in Iran, favela life in Brazil, and the first Reconnaissance Team of the Marines. Project requirements vary semester to semester, but you can peruse some of the projects and activities students have completed thus far.
